Advisory, Due Diligence & Training

Beyond full project development, we provide focused advisory: independent due diligence for buyers and investors, expert reviews of existing projects, and training for teams entering the biochar carbon market.

What it is

Not every engagement is a full build. Sometimes you need an independent read on a project before you buy or invest, a health-check on a project that feels off-track, or your team brought up to speed quickly and credibly.

We provide buyer- and investor-side due diligence on additionality, permanence, MRV quality and delivery risk; independent reviews of existing projects; and practical training for teams new to biochar CDR. Our independence is the product.

Who it's for

  • Corporate buyers vetting durable removals before purchase
  • Investors and lenders assessing a project or developer
  • Developers wanting an independent project health-check
  • Teams and FPOs needing to build internal capability

Our process

  1. 01

    Scope the question

We agree exactly what decision the work must support — a purchase, an investment, a fix or a capability gap.

  2. 02

    Assess independently

We review additionality, permanence, MRV and delivery risk, or design and deliver targeted training — without ties to any vendor or registry.

  3. 03

    Report & enable

We deliver a clear, decision-ready findings report or training outcome, with risks and estimates stated plainly.

What you get

  • Independent due-diligence report (additionality, permanence, MRV, delivery)
  • Project health-check with prioritised actions
  • Risk register with estimates and confidence levels
  • Tailored training for teams and FPOs
  • A decision-ready recommendation

FAQs

Advisory, Due Diligence & Training: common questions

What does biochar due diligence cover?

Typically four lenses: additionality (would the removal have happened anyway), permanence (is the carbon genuinely durable, evidenced by H:Corg), MRV quality (is the data defensible), and delivery risk (will the project actually deliver). Findings are presented as an independent assessment, not a guarantee of outcome.

Do you train teams new to the carbon market?

Yes. We run practical training on biochar production, MRV, methodologies and the durable-removal market, tailored to developers, FPOs, industry teams and buyers — so your people can make informed decisions.

Are you independent of the projects you assess?

Yes. For due-diligence work we are deliberately independent of the project and any technology vendor, which is what makes the assessment credible to buyers and investors.

Start with a feasibility assessment

Tell us about your feedstock and goals. We'll tell you, on evidence, whether and how your project can become durable carbon-removal credits — estimates clearly stated, never guaranteed.
